Children Ministry

Discipline is the process by which children are made to obey rules and orders. It aims at helping to control situations in the home and wherever can be.
Ultimately, its goal is to bring up good citizens who are heaven-bound. This appears to be the greatest challenge facing this generation and the Church.
The Bible says in Proverb 22 vs. 6 "Train up a Child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it."
Proverb 22 vs. 15 " Foolishness is bound up in the heart of a Child. The rod of correction will drive it far from him"
The first approach to discipline to children should be counseling, discussion and dialogue in this order with a view to bringing the child to a state of understanding.
God constantly use this method through the Holy spirit and His word to smoothen our rough edges to bring us out of our folly. Every Child has the ability and capacity for mischief. Hence we need to pray for our children regularly. They should do as they are told until they are of age. Some children easily take instructions but some are obstinate, hence the need for discipline and guidance. When they err, we should control our emotions and anger and correct them in love
